Age difference in indonesian
Age difference in indonesian |
As I have explained in greeting in indonesian, the indenesian people is very respectfull of age differences, if we call someone younger than us, we can call with adek, and if we call someone older that us, we can call with (mas, kakak, kak, pak, om, bapak) for man and (embak, kakak, bu, ibu, tante, bude) for women
The day-to-day language in Indonesian uses mother tongue, mother tongue (native language, first language, literally mother tongue in English) is the first language learned by a person. And the person is called the native speaker of that language. Usually a child learns the basics of their first language from their family.
In the Indonesian context, the mother tongue always leads to a particular regional language or is called the local language. This is due to the diversity of tribes and regions that have different languages. such as Java language, sunda, padang, lampung, dayak and others.
do not be confused if people of different ages with us are called in different languages depending on the mother tongue in the area. man who have the same age with older siblings, we can call as kakak and mbak for women who have the same age with older siblings. men and women who have the same age with younger siblings,we can call as Adik, ibu for women of maternal age, and bapak for men
